What Happened To Grace Millane?
This incident occurred in November of 2018. After police began investigating the case they found her dead body after days of her going missing. The messages that were sent to Grace were on December 2, 2018, which was her birthday, and as the parents didn’t get a reply day after they sent messages to their daughter, they got conscious and went to the police for help. Later Grace’s dead body was found near Auckland, New Zealand, in a corpse and she was unclothed and curled up like a fetus. The parents of Grace were devastated as merely their daughter was out on a vacation. Later a tarrying CCTV footage came up in which it was seen that the bag in which Grace was buried was carried by a man which was supposedly an unknown person, and she was then buried. Grace’s killer carried the bag casually and he then buried it.

It looked like he killed grace in the hotel room and then he went out to bury her. After killing Grace in a flat, he dragged the bag down and then put it in a rented car and buried her in the woods. Later it was revealed that the murderer was 26-years-old Jesse Shane Kempson, who was later arrested on the 6th of December after police thoroughly investigated the case. Jesse was at Auckland’s City Life Hotel when he was arrested. On the 10th of December, he was bought to trails in Auckland’s District Court. While on one side the murdered killed innocent Grace, the trials were ongoing, and on the other hand, the University in which Grace studied expressed their concerns and said that they are in great sadness by listening to the passing of Grace. On the 10th of December when the trials were done, the Prime Minister of New Zealand apologized to her parents of Grace and said that he wanted to apologize to them on behalf of the Whole of New Zealand.

Grace was a young girl with dreams and aspirations her death bought great sadness to her parents. Grace was on vacation when she was killed, she initially went to South Africa for six weeks, and then she went to New Zealand for two weeks, where she was exploring Upper North Island. Grace arrived in New Zealand on the 20th of November, 2018, and on the 2nd of December, she wasn’t responding to her parents. Grace was last seen in Auckland’s Central business area which was around 9 pm on the 1st of December and that was the last time she was ever seen. She was spotted with Jesse and the two of them were moving at the City Life Hotel in Queen Street around 9:41 pm and that’s it after that she was not seen ever again. The footage showcased Jesse carrying a large bag in which he was probably carrying Grace after killing her. As said by the police, Jesse was Grace’s Tinder date and Jesse strangled her to death until she suffocated and died.
